3D Printing

Consistently high quality construction for additive manufacturing

Additive manufacturing processes or industrial 3D printing systems allow the design of new parts with complex geometries, or with new functionalities in sectors as varied as the aeronautics industry, energy, the manufacture of tools or prototypes. All have one thing in common: the construction of an object by adding material, thanks to the successive deposit of a thin layer of material.

Designed for Smooth Manufacturing Processes

Metal Powder Handling

Metal powder is the raw material for many additive manufacturing processes. Its quality and the maintenance of its technical specifications over time are key to ensuring the mechanical properties of the parts. From production by gaseous atomisation to storage, inerting and recycling, the right gas solution is crucial to achieve high quality metal fabrications.

Additive Manufacturing Processes

Many industrial additive manufacturing processes use powder: Powder Bed Fusion whether by Selective Laser Sintering (SLS), Selective Laser Melting (SLM) or by Electron Beam Melting (EBM). Certain material deposition processes also use concentrated energy (Directed Energy Deposition). Look out for gas supply modes that can match the development of your activity, in order to ensure a continuous and secure supply. In many instances, the gas needed depends on substrate used.

Post Treatment

Shipping industries, carmakers and heavy industries are regulated worldwide to carefully monitor and manage the release of carbon emissions and pollutants such as Sulfur Oxides and Nitrous Oxides into the atmosphere.

We offer specialised products and services for ambient air monitoring, emissions testing and emission control for Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) and Greenhouse Gases (GHG).

Heat Treatment (Tempering)

Altering physical or chemical properties of a material

Different operations are carried out by specialised heat treatment service providers, e.g. carburising or nitriding to increase hardness.

  • Nitrogen
  • ALNAT™ Heat Treatment Solutions

Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP)

Compress materials through heating

Parts are housed in an enclosure and subjected to very high pressure (up to several thousand bars), at high temperature (several hundred degrees).

Parts Cleaning

Using CO₂ snow particles to separate impurities from the cleaning surface
  • Dry ice
