🌊 ALT Environment Day 2025

Air Liquide Thailand Advances Sustainability Through Community and Environmental Engagement

On June 24, 2025, Air Liquide (Thailand) Ltd. organized ALT Environment Day 2025 at the Kao Yod Small-Scale Fishing Community in Rayong Province. This event was part of the global Citizen at Work program, which empowers employees to actively contribute to the sustainable development of communities, society, and the environment.

This year, the company continued its commitment under the ā€œEnvironmental Protectionā€ pillar by organizing a marine conservation initiative. More than 70 employees from sites across Thailand participated in the event—raising awareness, taking meaningful action, and directly contributing to the restoration of the coastal ecosystem.

ā€œWe’re not just here to take part—we’re here to create meaningful and lasting impact.ā€

Mr. Michel Schpoliansky - Managing Director, Air Liquide (Thailand) Ltd.

In his opening remarks, Mr. Schpoliansky captured the essence of Citizen at Work:

ā€œProtecting the environment isn’t just about the future—it’s about the actions we take today. Working hand in hand with the local community is the key to creating real, lasting change.ā€

šŸ¦€šŸŸ Highlights of our collaborative effort with the community:

  • Released over 20,000 marine species—including baby fish, shrimp, and blue swimming crabs—back into their natural habitat
  • Built crab condos and rope shelters to support marine biodiversity and sustainable breeding grounds
  • Collected over 32 kilograms of waste along the beach to reduce marine pollution
  • Shared a locally prepared lunch with the community and supported small local vendors

The event was organized in direct collaboration with local community leaders, ensuring meaningful engagement between employees and residents while strengthening long-term relationships.

šŸ¤ Strengthening community bonds for sustainable impact

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to:

  • Ms. Duangkamol Romruen (P’Mam) – President of the Kao Yod Small-Scale Fishing Group
  • Mr. Supat Promprieng (Uncle Pang) – Public Relations Officer of the group
  • The mothers and aunts of the community for the warm and delicious homemade lunch
  • And all the local residents who supported and facilitated the success of this initiative
